I paint places that touch my heart. These places find me; I don’t find them. The sandy beaches and ocean marshes of Plum Island are among my sirens. I am also drawn to the small Italian hilltop village of Roccanova, where my paternal grandfather was born. Here, ancestral ghosts call to me from ancient streets and from the mountainous surrounding countryside dotted with vineyards and olive groves.
